The guest speaker for the Annual Dinner is Sháá Wasmund, founder of Smarta,  a revolutionary social enterprise to transform business support in the UK.

Sháá Wasmund is a true entrepreneur; she has set up multiple businesses including her own PR and Marketing company, where James Dyson was one of her first clients.  In 1999 she was a founding director of Sir Bob Geldof’s travel company deckchair.com and in 2000 set up her own venture mykindaplace.com, which was subsequently sold to BskyB.

Sháá has advised many businesses on their internet strategies, from the government to social networking  phenomenon Bebo, and in 2006 established a partnership with fellow entrepreneur Dan Wagner to launch Bright Station Ventures, a unique investment vehicle with $100 million of capital dedicated to investing in internally generated ideas and seeding young companies that use information technology in innovative ways to create high growth business opportunities.
