Event Details

Our world is changing dramatically. Global economic crises, social upheaval and corrupt politics are colliding with collective action and a widening gap between the haves and have nots.

In 2011, these profound factors found expression in revolt and revolution throughout the Arab World. Ahdaf Soueif was there, playing a key part in the protests in Tahrir Square. She and BBC Newsnight economics editor Paul Mason have played key roles reporting Arab Spring to the world. Join them as they discuss the causes and the conequences of this current wave of struggle, and the influence it could have on the trouble spots of Asia, with Iranian journalist/author Kamin Mohammadi and Mishal Husain who reported on the Arab Spring for the BBC.
