Come along and join the Weetwood Writers - a new group for those who are serious about writing for publication.  Whether you want to get an agent and find a publisher, or whether you'd like to go down the self-publishing or digital publishing route, we're here to support each other achieve our goals.

This event is all about Flash Fiction in honour of National Flash Fiction day.

We start promptly at 10.30, so please arrive in good time.  We finish at 12.30.

Parking is plentiful and free.

Please bring with you:

• Your own writing - A piece of complete fiction or prose of up to 250 words on the theme of “Falling Apart”
• If you find a great example of published flash fiction, please bring it with you. 
•  Notebook and pen
• About £2.50 for a coffee.

·         News & Forward Planning

·         Magic moment – A creative activity to get us in the “other side” of our head

·         Flash Fiction – Reading of published examples including prize-winners

·         Giving and receiving feedback – guidelines and boundaries

·         Reading & critique (in smaller groups)

·         Flash-Mob! – we’ll participate as a group in a national crowd-writing event

·         Thank you’s and challenges.

Aim of the morning is to get our Flash Fiction entries to a point at which we feel we can confidently edit them for reading on Wednesday following the meeting.  We will also create and publish a work of flash-fiction through flash-mobbing.

ANYONE is welcome to attend this meeting and participate, even if you don’t bring writing to your first event.  Just come along!
