What's Next? Equality
Thursday, June 14, 2012 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM (BST)
London, United Kingdom
In this week's panel we discuss:
- The London riots. Were those involved consumerist, criminal opportunists or representing true angst against government cuts, social/economic injustice and the police?
- The sentences delivered to some involved in last summers riots have been hugely disproportionate to the crime they were convicted of. Does this send a message of zero tolerance or does this alienate the younger generation even more?
- Representation of women in today’s media
- Rich & poor. The widening divide. The majority of cuts are directly effecting the youth - should the government be doing more to punish those who’s greed created our current economic problems?
