How to manage your money after graduation

10am–11am

When you graduate, money is bound to be on your mind - whether it’s your Student Loan coming to an end or when you’ll start earning. This session will provide you with information about your taxes, loan repayments and what to do if you need to claim state benefits for a time.

11.30am–12.30pm

With the recent closure of Post Study Work visa, this session highlights the work options available if you have graduated from BA/BSc or a postgraduate degree. This session – run by a Student Adviser with immigration training – will give you the information you need to prepare for working in the UK after your studies.

UAL can provide a great source of support on this - learn about how to use the University’s resources to find employment up to 2 years after you have graduated.

How to make money while you sleep
3pm–4pm

How do Orla Kiely, Kelly Hoppen or David Beckham make money while they sleep? Two words: Intellectual Property! They have been able to sell or share their designs with other companies. In this one-hour workshop, you will learn about the importance of copyright, design rights and trade marks for the development of a recognisable brand.

How to create great CVs and application forms
4.30pm–5.30pm 

This interactive workshop will help you better understand the different ways to approach writing and presenting yourself through CVs and application forms. You will learn some dos and don’ts of CV/Application writing and look at some examples of creative approaches that will get you noticed for all the right reasons.
