Cupcake masterclasses in our unique style at cakesbyjames HQ. Come along and learn how to make and flavour Italian buttercream, write in melted chocolate and create delicate sugar blossoms. Students get to take away their cupcake creations (1 dozen per person) along with recipes for buttercream, yellow cake and chocolate cake. Maximum 8 people per class.

How to make buttercream
For the first technique, James will show you how to make italian buttercream (demonstration only)
How to colour/flavour buttercream
At this stage, we learn how to flavour the buttercream with various flavours and also colour the buttercream (demonstration only)
How to write in chocolate
Here we learn how to make small piping bags out of greaseproof paper, how to melt chocolate and how to write in chocolate.
How to make sugar blossoms
At this stage, we learn how to make various sugar flowers with a variety of tools.
Decorate cupcakes
Now it is time to decorate the cupcakes using all the techniques that have been taught.
Finish
Students get to take away their cupcake creations along with recipes for buttercream, yellow cake and chocolate cake.
