Local bands play live!

We've got a selection of the best musical talent in Kent. The bands include AudioWhorés, Island Cassettes, Alex Beharrell, Paul Dunton Ensemble, Searching for Pie, and Poppy Alice + much more…..keep checking back for additions to the line-up.

AudioWhorés are a band made up of 5 friends who put their heads together in the summer of 2010, determined on delivering their own unique brand of music to whoever would listen, drawing from a gargantuan array of influences from Living Colour, Pearl Jam, Rage Against The Machine, The Black Crowes, Stone Sour, The Metres, Porcupine Tree and many more They have just finished their first E.P, titled Fresh Pots, which is available now!

Island Cassettes are a three piece band from Kent who takes their Influences from Folk, Indie & South African Music, and their music is predominantly upbeat and sanguine.

Formed in mid 2010 The Alex Beharrell Band is a team of Kent musicians fronted by singer/songwriter Alex Beharrell who as a solo performer has become well known in the Tunbridge Wells music scene over the years.

Paul Dunton’s music is best described as a captivating fusion of alternative/pop and classical. For intimate shows Paul (piano/vocals) performs with alongside his ‘Ensemble’ delivering an atmospheric live sound that features cello, violins, guitar, bass and flute. In the autumn of 2011, The Paul Dunton Ensemble completed an incredible maiden tour of the USA, performing in historical theatres and renowned venues in 8 different states.

Poppy Alice is a local singer/songwriter with an exceptional voice and talent for writing a variety of songs that reflect her thoughts and ideas. Her range of emerging songs are an eclectic mix of styles centred around an acoustic/folk genre, with influences including Ed Sheeran, Jessie J and Adele. Poppy Alice recently won 1st place in the 2012 Tonbridge Has Talent competition performing her own song '"He Said She Said'". www.facebook.com/poppyalicemusic
