LocationInspace, 1 Crichton Street, Edinburgh EH8 9AB

Webcasting: 2pm - 3:45pm

Live event: 1:30pm - 4:15pm

In this webinar, Matt Adams will introduce you to the core concepts behind interactive storytelling and explore their emerging potential within the creative, cultural and heritage sector.  As digital technologies become mainstream, we’re seeing interesting new patterns of audience behaviour around certain genres and formats. You'll be introduced to Blast Theory's interdisciplinary artistic practice and be given tips on understanding how your audience is curating their attention, and how to make artistic content work in these new patterns.

In person or online, you will learn

  • Principles of digital storytelling
  • How organisations across the UK such as Channel 4 and Sundance Film Festival have adopted such storytelling approaches
  • Practical advice on how digital storytelling methods can help you deepen participation and engagement of your digital audiences
  • Where to get more (free / low cost) help and advice

The webinar is part of New Media Scotland's Atmosphere program for Edinburgh International Film Festival 2012.
