Marcelle Speller OBE is the founder & Chief Executive  of Localgiving.com and sponsor of Localgiving.com which provides small, local charities and community groups across the UK with an online fundraising platform to help them become more sustainable.She is also a trustee of the Community Foundation Network and founder of the Ardbrack Foundation, a personal foundation with a mission to enable philanthropic giving to local charities and community groups.

 With an MBA from INSEAD, Marcelle worked in director and board level marketing positions with multinational companies, including American Express, Avis and Inter-Continental Hotels.  She also spent more than 10 years in leading advertising agencies in London and Amsterdam.

In 1996, Marcelle co-founded Holiday-Rentals.com, which became Europe’s leading website for advertising private holiday homes.  Nine years later, the company was sold and, following a workshop at the Institute for Philanthropy, Marcelle was inspired to launch Localgiving.com in 2008.

Marcelle received an OBE in June 2011 for her extensive work in philanthropy.

Andrew Banks - Owner of Squeezer Digital Marketing

Andrew has 10 years experience in digital marketing working both client and agency side. His expertise is in understanding business objectives and turning these into digital marketing campaigns that deliver real returns.

In 2007 Andrew founded a digital marketing agency in Leeds which he grew to 12 staff inside three years and delivered digital strategy and planning for the likes of Genting Casinos, At The Races, Littlewoods, Nectar, Maryland Cookies.

 Andrew is an avid supporter of the Foundation pledgeing a % of yearly profits to the foundation

Entertainment

The evening will have an entertainment will be provided by Future Heros - a project that has been on many ocasions funded by the Foundation

The Future hero award is granted by N.O.L.E and are designed to encourage and nurture the talent and potential of Calderdale students who show particular musical promise and involve the sponsorship of individual students of secondary school age providing support and professional mentoring for their area of musical interest. This can take the form of specialist tuition, attending courses or concerts, an upgraded musical instrument, singing classes or whatever is most appropriate to that young person’s musical development and personal ambitions.
