Event Details

@BrightonPi are teaming up with the makers at @buildbrighton to host Brighton's first ever Raspberry Pi Jam,

This event kicks off a regular monthly meet up where Raspberry Pi enthusiasts can come together to discuss the latest  Pi happenings, and get involved in local projects.

Hosted at Build Brighton's spectacular HackSpace just off Lewes Road, we will start off with two mini talks to introduce the Raspberry Pi

Session 1 - Neil Ford - Intro to Pi And Arduino -

Neil will give a introduction to both Pi and Arduino, touching on OS installation, potential uses for the two systems, and when to choose one over the other.

Session 2 - Pete Hobson - Something from Scratch.

Pete will give an introduction to the scratch programming language.  Scratch is one of the Languages the Raspberry Pi foundation is proposing to include on the default Educational SD card, and is seen by many as an ideal platform to encourage kids to begin programming on.  We will try to make something cool and get an idea of the capabilities of the language.
