Finding Journal Articles
Tuesday, 4 September 2012 from 11:00 to 12:00 (BST)
Walsall, United Kingdom
This workshop will introduce effective searching techniques to help you to improve your search results and locate quality information for your assignments. It will help you to use high quality resources available through the online library at the University of Wolverhampton and on the Web. There will be an opportunity for “hands-on” searching to find relevant material for your next assignment.
At the end of the workshop you should be able to:
- Explain the importance of planning a search
- Use the library catalogue (Summon) to find different types of resources
- Search academic databases and the internet to find quality information
- Critically evaluate information resources
Before you attend:
In the workshop we will try to use real life examples, so please bring along any searches you are currently working on.
