World Event Young Artists presents Santiago Sanguinetti’s Nuremberg at The Lace Market Theatre
Wednesday 12th September
1pm and 7pm
Nuremberg is a monologue written and performed by 26 year old award-winning Uruguayan playwright, Santiago Sanguinetti. The play focuses on a young neo-Nazi man with a terrible past; he is going to participate in a terrorist act, which he knows will put his life at risk. Alone, in a small public toilet, he is going insane. He is listening to music, doing exercises, trying to recall all memories of his life since birth. He is just waiting for the end.
The play won a literature award from one of the most prestigious cultural centres in Montevideo and Santiago received a Best Theatre Actor nomination.
The play deals with violence, racism and hate - and how to avoid them all in our present days.
Following each performance, the audience will have the opportunity to meet Santiago and to participate in an informal discussion about the work in the theatre bar.
Tickets are free but book now to avoid disappointment.
This performance is an 18+ event
Performance time approx. 40 minutes. After-show discussion approx. 1 hour
