After a great event in July with the guys from Dare to be Digital (see below) we're on again at Drouthies for v2.

What's happened since the first meeting:

1.  We've linked up with the wider techmeetup community (techmeetup.co.uk) who are offering some sponsorship money (so we're hoping to get some nibbles and stuff form the great folks at Drouthies)  - big up SkyScanner, and thanks to the tech meetup guys in Edinburgh, I know some of them are hoping to come up and join us. 

2.  we're moving to a Tuesday night following everyone's feedback.

3.  Big thanks to Steve Parkes, Managing Director at Star - a spin out of Dundee Uni - who's goign to give a talk on Space Technology in Dundee. (http://spacetech.dundee.ac.uk/commercialisation/star-dundee-ltd)

Still looking for someone else to give a talk - so shout if you are up for it.

Same deal as last time: 6.30 for talks starting at 7.

Last months description:

Join us as we get everyone working the world of "tech" together with the aim of enhancing the community in Dundee, find out what projects are happening on our doorstep and get each others perspectives on new stuff.

The format we're imagining will be two or three 10/15 minute presentations by different people followed by some q+a and further chats over a beer. 

It's definitely not about sales pitches or going into a ton of detail on your favourite php library but is about getting feedback from everyone on your idea and helping bring a fresh view on what everyone's doing day-to-day.

If things work out it'd be great if we could do this monthly, and maybe link in with the wider TechMeetup community in Scotland - this first one will be the chance to see how everyone feels about that.

If anyone is up for helping out by doing a ten minute talk about something that would be brilliant - please just let us know!
