Arts 4 Dementia - Training for arts activities for people in the early stages of dementia and their carers.
Aim of the day
To give arts practitioners increased skills and confidence in working creatively with people experiencing the early stages of dementia.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the session participants will be able to:
- Demonstrate their understanding of dementia and how it impacts on peoples' abilities and feelings
- Explain the key communication approaches when responding to people experiencing different realities or with muddled verbal communication
- Describe with confidence the value of arts based approaches when working with people living with dementia
- Explain impact of Arts 4 Dementia approach for participants.

REFUNDS: Arts 4 Dementia is not able to offer refunds to delegates unable to attend. TRAINING PROVIDED BY DEMENTIA UK: Arts 4 Dementia is facilitating the training which will be provided by Dementia UK. Details of the event including the identity of the trainer may be subject to change.
