Join Carol Mavor for a visually rich reading, and an in-conversation with Director Maria Balshaw, to celebrate her new book Black and Blue: The Bruising Passion of Camera Lucida, La Jetée, Sans Soleil and Hiroshima mon amour.
Carol Mavor is Professor of Art and Visual Studies at the University of Manchester.
Maria Balshaw is the Director Manchester Art Gallery and the Whitworth Art Gallery.
Copies of Black and Blue will be available to buy from the Gallery
A limited number of places will also be available at 6pm on the day, on a first come first served basis. Refreshments are available for purchase in the cafe.
