This course examines the challenges facing those new to management or those having difficulties in managing people. It examines management of self, emotional intelligence and personal effectiveness in managing people. The role of management is also viewed in the context of the organisational environment and theoretical models are discussed. Issues such as culture, leadership and motivation are considered. Role-plays focus on handling different personalities and situations in the PR workplace.

Learning Outcomes
