Do you know your Yammer from your Bebo? Have you tweeted recently? Or do you feel lost in a sea of jargon and fake Facebook friends?

This short seminar will introduce you to a range of social media, show you what it is being used for and help you work out if and how some of it could benefit your organisation. It is a short introduction, not an in-depth workshop and is suitable for anyone no matter what experience they have of using social media at work or at home.

It will be led by Mark Walker, SCIP founder and ICT Champion for the South East. Mark has worked with community and voluntary organisations for almost 20 years, including marketing, publicity and online activities. He teaches Fundraising and Internet and is a regular user of social media - find him online as @scipmark

There will be an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the presentation.

Our presentations start at 1pm prompt, so please make sure you've arrived by then. Sessions start with a light lunch at 12.30, so come and help yourself to a sandwich and use the time before it starts for networking with the other guests. 

There will also be time afterwards to catch up with anyone you didn’t get to see beforehand - sessions close at 14.30.
