Five ways to improve the findability of your website
- How does Google decide which
sites appear first and which wallow on page 57?
- Your site may be useful but is
it findable?
This session will explain the
different factors that influence search engine rankings and will help you to
optimise the content on your website. These tips help improve your ranking in
Google and make your site easier to use for all your visitors.
The answer is not technical –
it’s all about following some basic rules and keeping on top of some simple
tasks. We’ll cover:
- Research
- How do people search?
- Which keywords do they use?
- How findable is your site?
- Writing copy
- Linking & sharing content
- Tools, and tracking what happens

- Just do it – it’s easy to improve.
There will be lots of useful
information, tips and guidance for you to take away and an opportunity to ask
questions at the end of the presentation.
Presentations start at 1pm prompt, so please make sure
you've arrived by then. Sessions start with a light lunch at 12.30, so come and
help yourself to a sandwich and use the time before it starts for networking
with the other guests. There will also
be time afterwards to catch up with anyone you didn’t get to see beforehand,
and sessions close at 14.30.
