Better Start Bradford, a community partnership led by Bradford Trident, has been awarded £49 million from the Big Lottery Fund to help parents give their children the best start in life. The aim is to improve the life chances of babies and very young children by delivering a significant increase in the use of preventative approaches in pregnancy and first three years of life. Over ten years, a portfolio of projects will engage with approximately 20,000 children, to improve their social and emotional wellbeing, their communication and language skills and their diet and nutrition. The Better Start Bradford area covers Bowling and Barkerend, Bradford Moor and Little Horton. 'Learning Together' was devised by a multi-agency group within Better Start Bradford as a way for the 'Better Start Family' to access key learning and training relvent to their role.
