HANDMADE SMUDGE

Handmade Smudge aims to create Beautiful and unique handmade children’s and women’s clothing. And to teach others to find the joy of making their own handmade clothing.

As a mother I often found that baby and children’s clothing ‘on the high street’ lacks the imagination or spark that I feel children deserve. There is such a demand for fashion now, but unfortunately children often get lumped with adult designs in miniature. I aim to design clothing especially for children.

Handmade Smudge designs are cute, playful and colourful whilst also considering practicality, ie giving babies lots of nappy room (No more skinny jeans for babies). Ease for nappy changes and giving plenty of room for growth, so the garments last that bit longer (as all parents know, children are constantly growing out of well- loved outfits).

My women’s clothing designs are a representation of what I wish I could find for a mother (Pregnant and breast-feeding). Designs are both elegant and fun, giving you the ease of running after your little ones while still feeling fantastic.
