Horse Rangers Association
The Horse Rangers Association (HRA) exists to promote the personal development of children and young people by teaching them to ride, and care for horses, especially those who would not otherwise have had the opportunity. Children learn responsibility, resilience and teamwork skills, as well as practising hard work and commitment.
Where possible those with special needs are integrated into the mainstream activities, but for those who need extra support, we run dedicated sessions as a member group of the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA). All of the activities are delivered and supported by around 250 dedicated volunteers.
We believe that finance or ability should be no barrier to children accessing this very special activity, and that riding and being around horses provides totally unique opportunities for learning, growth and development, particularly for vulnerable children.
