You don’t need a background in law. Over half our trainees are non-law graduates and many have postgraduate degrees in disciplines other than law. In our unique training system, trainees assume their own workload and work across different practice areas simultaneously. Because they do not move department every six months, they don’t miss the end of deals or trials they have worked on.
In London, we sponsor our graduates through law school and offer them a unique, non-rotational, two-year training contract designed to provide flexibility and responsibility from the start. Our work placement schemes are the route to training at Jones Day. Operating like mini training contracts, you gain a real insight into life as a trainee at our global law firm. They are open to all final year students, graduates and postgraduates of any discipline, as well as penultimate year students of a qualifying law degree.
