Lauren Ward

I am a lecturer and PhD student at the University of Northampton, UK. I like to critically explore the nature of how as a society we come to understand phenomena. My previous work centered on the military, and how they made sense of emotion and feeling. Similarly, my current work focuses on the fire service, and their understandings of emotions and feelings. From my exploration of the literature I realised there are a lot of contradictions and differences in understandings regarding 'emotion', 'feeling' and 'affect', and so #PoEF15 was born.
