Bath Tourism Plus and VisitBath is the Destination Marketing Organisation (DMO) for the UNESCO designated World Heritage Site of the city of Bath, as well as for the surrounding areas, towns and villages.

A private company limited by guarantee, VisitBath is partly funded by Bath & North East Somerset Council, but mainly by private sector income generated through the Bath Visitor Information Centre, city events and an industry membership scheme involving over 500 local tourism businesses who advertise on the company’s website, through its digital channels and in printed publications. It is a not for profit organisation that reinvests any surplus income back into promoting and marketing the city regionally, nationally and internationally.  

As the official organisation responsible for promoting the area to domestic and inbound overseas visitors, VisitBath works closely with the public and private sectors to deliver an annual programme of targeted marketing initiatives. In addition to its leisure and business marketing activities the company also manages the city’s Visitor Information Centre (one of the busiest centres in the country welcoming around 500,000 visitors per annum) and operates the ever-popular Bath Christmas Market. A rolling programme of industry research is also carried out to track the performance of the visitor economy in Bath and the surrounding area.
