'Making a Difference - right care, right place, right time'
St Helens Clinical Commissioning Group is the NHS body responsible for buying services locally taking over from Halton and St Helens Primary Care Trust. The NHS arrangements see GP's working together in groups of practices called Clinical Commissioning Groups Each CCG is responsible for planning, buying and monitoring local NHS services and financial decisions around patient care. The public now have more influence over what kind of health services should be available locally. They also have greater opportunities for holding to account local services that are not performing well. How will these new changes to the local NHS make a difference to local people's health? St Helens CCG is committed to working with our colleagues at the local authority, local hospital trusts and our provider colleagues to make a difference to improve the health of local people. This will mean organising the care for people who need it. It will also allow for us to work together to improve all things that affect the health of our local people to try and make St Helens as healthy as we can.
