Hello - I'm Niki and I love to be outside and preferably playing!
My background is Forest Schools, children with complex needs and play development. I have also worked with communities on their play spaces and I guest lecture at a couple of colleges in the South West.
I live in North Cornwall although I grew up on the North Norfolk Coast. I love the sea and am passionate about beach cleaning. I have organised the last two Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) Beach Cleans in Porthtowan and I am SAS Rep' for our village - and I don't even surf! - I try to re-cycle or be creative with what I pick up.
My key skills are making something out of nothing and playing with mud.
I run workshops on a variety of things from outdoor play and teaching on the beach to craft sessions. I also mentor Forest School students for Nature Workshops and run Forest School courses with Woodland Adventurers. I am available for continuing professional development (CPD) sessions for staff teams in schools or nurseries. I have recently run day workshops for The Countryside Management Association and the Education Acheivement Service of South Wales.
I love to work outside with families exploring what is on their doorstep and run a term time outdoor play session on Friday mornings near Redruth; All Weather Tots.
I hope to meet you soon - if you have any questions there are Instagram and Facebook links below, get in touch
Keep it natural :)
