The seventh annual InTRANSIT Festival of the Arts takes place between 20 – 27 July in Kensington and Chelsea.
InTRANSIT festival is an interactive summer programme of artist led walks, interventions, promenade performances and commissions that aims to engage with all ages.
Animating streets, parks, neglected and forgotten spaces, the festival will explore the more hidden, unusual and overlooked aspects of the borough through the distinctive visions of an extraordinary range of artists working across art forms.
Dramatic street theatre, puppet shows, art installations and outdoor music and dance events will all be available free of charge to local residents and visitors to the borough.
Highlights of the festival include the aftermath of a UFO crashing on an abandoned car park in Notting Hill, an orchestra on the move through the borough’s streets and the colourful history of the King’s Road told through the medium of discarded chewing gum, prompting public responses to environmental littering.
RBKC Culture is committed to providing high-quality arts activity and culture information for visitors and the residents of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and beyond.
