Terrence Higgins Trust Scotland

Terrence Higgins Trust Scotland is part of the longest established HIV and sexual health charity in the UK, offering a variety of essential services for people living with HIV and those at risk of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections.

Our UK-wide services include THT Direct, a free telephone helpline for anyone with sexual health worries (0808 802 122) and the website myHIV.org.uk, providing online support for people living with HIV.

Our mission is:

• To end the transmission of HIV in the UK.

• To empower and support people living with HIV to lead healthy lives.

• To amplify the voices of those affected by HIV across public and political arenas to eradicate stigma and discrimination.

• To enable people to enjoy good sexual health.

In Scotland, our dedicated Health Promotion team is commissioned by health boards to reach out to at-risk communities with guidance and advice. Other projects include Positive Voices, a unique programme of workshops delivered by people with direct experience of HIV. Peer Support Scotland is a peer-led service for people living with HIV and/or Hepatitis C.

Based in our central Glasgow headquarters, the Terrence Higgins Trust Learning Centre is a state-of-the art training facility offering up-to-date, high quality courses on such topics as HIV Awareness, Women and HIV and Sexual Health Training. Many of our courses are accredited and all have received overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants.
