Hollybush Conservation Centre is an outdoor volunteering centre where adults can get involved in practical conservation activities and working with natural materials. People come to us to improve their mental and physical health through being outdoors and being active, to learn new skills, and meet new people. We treat everyone as an individual, all are welcome and there is something for everyone. No experience required, just enthusiasm and a love of the outdoors. We run a task group from Tues-Fri that goes out to various green spaces in Leeds and maintains them, such as woodlands, parks, and school grounds. We also have a wood workshop, where people can come and learn green woodwork skills, making items from recycled and sustainably sourced timber, that we sell as part of our social enterprise, to fund our charitable work. We also run Green Gyms, gardening groups, short courses, bushcraft, and we have places available on our accredited Level 1 and 2 Diploma in Practical Conservation courses. Every school holiday we run activities for children and families; usually a nature trail and various arts and crafts activities using natural materials, with a seasonal theme.
