The Relational School is dedicated to broadening the understanding of the role of the relationship in psychotherapy. Specifically, relationality is concerned with looking at how therapists can become conscious of relational dynamics between themselves and their clients with the aim of better understanding the client's relational style. Our activities aim to create forums for further discovery about realtionality from a variety of therapeutic disciplines as well as being a formal association for relational thinking in the UK.
TRS is open to all modalities of counselling and psychotherapy who are interested in what can broadly be understood as "realtional". Our members come from a broad variety of accrediting and registration bodies and are representative of the panoply of varietyies of clinical practice. Our executive committee is also that of the UK chapter of the International Association of Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy (IARPP).
