Unit London was founded in 2013 by artists Joe Kennedy and Jonny Burt. Friends since childhood, they had a vision of creating a gallery that champions and supports the world’s most gifted emerging artists in a manner that is inclusive and celebratory for artists and audiences alike.
Operating originally from an empty 180 sq. ft shop in West London, Unit London now occupies a 4,000 sq. ft gallery space on Wardour Street, in the heart of London’s Soho. Each Unit London Gallery has been situated in busy, high-footfall locations to ensure maximum impact, exposure and accessibility. The rapid growth and success of the gallery is testament to a concerted brand-building strategy adopted from the outset, with a particular focus on the innovative use of social media and digital content, film and video. This resolutely outward-facing approach has Unit London to build a loyal community of supporters, patrons and collectors throughout the world. Unit London has 100,000 followers across their social media channels and regularly sell out each exhibition in advance.
