Ooshka Festival

The stages are smack-bang in the centre of town, by the harbour-side and on the beach – the local bars and restaurants will be hosting live music during the weekend too. You’ll get to see such amazing acts as Johnny Marr, Jools Holland and The Proclaimers. And yes, we’re thinking the same thing; this festival is worth walking 500 miles, and do you know what? Sleep With Simon

#sleepwithsimon is an annual rough sleeping fundraising event taking place at the Royal Armouries Tilt Yard in Leeds. #sleepwithsimon is a unique opportunity to gain understanding into what it’s like to sleep rough. It is a challenge to spend a night sleeping out in the open air to raise funds for Simon On The Streets. Along with the actual sleep there will also be a unique opportunity to hear from some of the people the charity have supported, which is a great chance to learn about why homelessness is about so much more than simply having nowhere to live. This event is not about trying to re-create sleeping rough, it’s an opportunity to learn about the real challenges that face rough sleepers on a daily basis and to understand exactly how and why they exist.

St George’s Hall Beer Festival

Inverurie Beer Festival

Building off of the back of the Banchory Beer Festival the team wanted to expand further into Aberdeenshire and so Inverurie was born.  As with Banchory, there will be a unique selection of Beers, Ciders and Gin, supporting local and national producers where quality products are the priority. As well as being passionate about the drinks they serve, they are also passionate about their food, which has led them to scouring  Scotland for some excellent street food vendors supplying a variety of tasty treats.

The guys at Get Baked are looking to create an event just as epic with ‘The Joint’. There will be live music, with a mix of genres from funk, lounge, blues, whatever they decide to play! They’ll be a range of drinks with steins, jelly donut shots and bottomless punch to name a few!
