About Eventbrite’s Search for Britain’s Hobby Hero
From bee keeping courses to pottery classes, calligraphy lessons to candle making workshops: Eventbrite is a great place to discover your next hobby, practice it with like-minded hobbyists, or to set up an event to share your passion with others.
To celebrate the nation’s love of hobbies and the people who share them, Eventbrite is launching a nationwide competition to find the UK’s Hobby Hero. The winner will receive a cash prize of £2,500 alongside £2,500 worth of support from Eventbrite’s experts to help them spread the love of what they do with others.
Our panel of judges might contact you with some questions, and will shortlist the best entries before we ultimately crown Eventbrite’s Hobby Hero.
When is the deadline for submitting entries?
The entry deadline is June 15 (subject to change).
What are the eligibility criteria?
Good news – this competition is open to everyone! You can enter at any age. You don’t have to have attended or hosted an Eventbrite event. You also don’t need to have made money from your hobby, although if you have, please do include details on your entry.

Eventbrite’s panel of judges will asses each entry and shortlist the best from around the UK. The judges will be looking for unusual enthusiasm, dedication, creativity, and progress. We might contact you or the person you have nominated with additional questions.
What kinds of hobbies are eligible?
All hobbies and past-times are eligible. We define a hobby as an activity done regularly for enjoyment.
