New Report: The State of Mobile Ticketing for Events

It’s undeniable that we’re in a ‘mobile first’ world.

Mobile traffic surpassed desktop traffic in 2016, Google has updated their core search algorithm to focus on mobile first after the number of searches on mobile outstripped desktop, and there are over 45 million smartphone users in the UK alone.

But what does that mean for you, as an event organiser? Are event-goers changing their behaviour? Are more people searching for experiences on their phones? Are more people buying tickets on their mobile devices?

To answer these questions (and more), we surveyed a cross section of the UK population – 1000 people in total – to learn how the dominance of mobile phones is affecting their ticket-buying behaviour, and how you can best tap into this opportunity.

Hi, I'm the Head of Content for Eventbrite UK and Ireland.

I love writing (and reading) about events, marketing, technology and entrepreneurship.

I'm also a recovering #eventprof, having spent the first 7 years of my career running large scale international conferences and exhibitions. (Of course I relapse all the time and enjoy running content-led events for Eventbrite too.)
