Our very own account manager, Holly Simmons, talks us through a step-by-step guide to running multiple events on Eventbrite, looking at when – and when not – to use Eventbrite’s repeating events feature.

If you’re organising the same event that repeats on multiple dates and times (like a class or tour), you can create a single registration page that lists all the events in your schedule. Our help-centre breaks out how to set events up in this way.

Before using the repeating events tool it’s important to double-check it will work for your event set-up. You should use repeating events if;

  • All dates/sessions have exactly the same ticket prices & quantities
  • All dates/sessions have exactly the same event description

If you need to manage individual sessions, for example, you have different prices on Friday’s, or different acts performing, then we recommend using our copy event feature to quickly create multiple event pages and then update each instance accordingly.

You can group all events under a single organiser profile, which provides attendees with an overview of all your upcoming events. Or utilise multiple profiles if you run events under different brands.

Website Integration

When running multiple events we recommend using our Calendar Widget on your website, you can customise which information is shown, the colours and also whether to show all events or just those under a specific profile.

With this feature you will be able to see exactly which dates your events fall on, and colour code them, so you know exactly which type of event is running just by glancing at the calendar.

Conclusion

The time to use our repeat event feature is when:

  • All dates/sessions have exactly the same ticket prices & quantities
  • All dates/sessions have exactly the same event description

The time not to:

  • If you need to manage individual sessions
  • Have different prices
  • Or different acts /speakers etc.
