EMBODI Integration : Psychedelic Integration Program
The EMBODI Integration Community Project, is a collaboration between True North Psychology and Physis Integration. We offer a monthly online integration group. Typically taking place on the last Wednesday of every month (7pm BST/GMT), running for 90 minutes.(PLEASE NOTE:INTEGRATION GROUPS ARE CURRENTLY ON HOLD TILL FURTHER NOTICE) If you would like to receive updates from us when the groups resumes please send us an email indicating that you consent to recieving updates from us regarding our events at EMBODI Integration.EMBODI Integration Group:The psychedelic integration group is facilitated by Clinical Psychologist and Existential Psychotherapist, Dr Sara Tookey and psychotherapist and visual artist Alessia Chiappino who have extensive experience with psychedelic states, providing preparation and integration support, and supporting participants in contemporary psychedelic clinical trials research. They provide a safe, non-judgemental and confidential online space for people who have used psychedelics, are considering using psychedelics, and for those who have had experiences with other non-ordinary states of consciousness, induced by other means (not drug-related).Whether you have had transformative or challenging experiences, the integration group and community can be helpful in processing and making sense of your journey. The aim of the group is to nurture a supportive community to facilitate the integration of psychedelic experiences into everyday life in a way that is helpful and meaningful to the individual.Recent research suggests that supportive communities play an important role in integrating psychedelic experiences. Whereas Western approaches have focused on individual psychotherapy, findings indicate communal practices such as sharing experiences, participating in rituals, and receiving empathy from others can greatly aid in integration. This aligns with indigenous views of healing as intertwined with community and the collective wisdom of the culture. The research points to an expanded definition of integration that goes beyond the individual to include mutual understanding and holistic healing through communal support. This underscores the vital role communities can play in sustaining personal growth during the integration process by instilling a sense of belonging and collective responsibility in supporting the emotional, mental, and spiritual processes of integration. We ask attendees to arrive 5 minutes before the advertised start time so that we can welcome everyone in from the waiting room to check-in and start on time (late arrival may result in not being able to participate). We ask that all attendees please keep their cameras on for the entire duration of the session. This is a community offering. There will be scope for members to gain access to psychedelic community events, workshops, and in-person community gatherings.Referrals for 1:1 integration and psychedelic-informed therapy also available. Please be aware that the group does not permit use of psychedelics or other psychoactive drugs during group meetings. Integration works best with a clear mind. In accordance with the law, we neither encourage substance use, provide illicit substances, or referrals to illegal psychedelic services.
