Description

Title of talk - Differential distribution of Campylobacter jejuni oxidative stress regulator RrpB is linked to a type I Restriction-Modification (hsd)-system containing hypervariable region and altered oxidative stress resistance

 Biography - Ozan Gundogdu joined the LSHTM in 2004 as a bioinformatics researcher. He completed his PhD in 2011 studying the pathogenesis of Campylobacter jejuni under the guidance of Dr Nick Dorrell. He has since continued studying C. jejuni pathogenesis through investigating the regulation of bacterial responses to oxidative stress, and more recently began studying the prevalence and functions of the C. jejuni Type VI Secretion System (T6SS).
