London Youth Choir presents Spring Sing, a joyous celebration of the outstanding talent of some of the best young singers in London, exploring the extraordinary range of choral music available today. From Bach, Rheinberger and Gjeilo, to Minnie the Moocher, Zipadeedoodah, and David Bowie, this programme will take the audience on a journey through different ages, regions and styles of choral singing, whilst showcasing the exceptional musical achievements of the young singers of all five constituent LYC choirs.
So far in 2017, the choirs have performed with some of the UK’s top vocal ensembles and directors including Paul McCreesh and Gabrieli Consort, Colm Carey and the choir of the Tower of London, and James O’Donnell and the choristers of Westminster Abbey. Coming up, LYC looks forward to performances at Milton Court, the Royal Albert Hall, St Bartholomew-the-Great with world-leading professional ensemble, Tenebrae, and a special commissioning project for boys' voices in summer 2017, celebrating the 300th anniversary of Handel's Water Music.
NB. Tickets are still required for those aged 5 and under (free)
