About this event

Created by melting and liquefying 925 sterling silver scrap into a mini ingot which can then be personalised with a picture stamp and initials on reverse. Finish your precious piece by threading it onto a length of coloured wax cord* to be worn around the neck, wrist or ankle. You will learn traditional silver fabrication skills of melting, plannishing, annealing, embossing, soldering, oxidising and polishing. A fun and creative hands-on experience for 10 - 15 year olds (accompanied by an adult) and up, plus suitable for all abilities with the silver material included in the price!

*Silver chains will also be available to purchase on the day at an additional cost.

SAFETY IN THE WORKSHOP:

  • PPE: Please always wear closed toe shoes when visiting the studio. PPE such as aprons, eyewear and dust masks are available, however you are also welcome to bring your own. Don’t forget to have long hair tied back and reading glasses if you need them for close-up work!
