1-2-1: Let your project be the focus! Once you’ve booked 1 or a series of workshops at the dates and times you want, be in touch (through Eventbrite or by email to info@janehdee.com) and we’ll plan workshop/s to progress your project and achieve your goals, whether that’s learning new skills or making something. If you would like a workshop longer than 1 hour, be in touch, & we can extend the time for you.

Group workshop: Please note that the published price is for a 1-hour 1-2-1 slot, but for a group booking this is this price per person, for a 2-hour workshop. So, one of you book the slot/s you all want, then contact me (through Eventbrite or by email to info@janehdee.com) and I will extend your time on the calendar to 2-hours & email the BACS details for the additional participants payments. Once all that admin stuff is out of the way, we can plan your fun group workshop together! If that all sounds complicated, just email and we’ll sort it out!

1-2-1 & Group Workshops: these are for Beginners and Intermediate and include all the equipment and tools you will need (up to 3 sewing machines are available but we can accommodate a larger group if they can bring their own sewing machines). All the fabric and haberdashery you need for making the skill-samples (which can include a range of seams, hems, zips, buttonholes and pockets!) is included along with the Sewing Tutor portfolio pages on which to make notes, mount your skill-samples and gradually build up your very own Sewing Tutor how-to reference guide! Once we’ve planned the workshop with you, we can let you know if you will need to bring any additional fabric & haberdashery for your making projects.

Please note - the workshops are on the 2nd floor and unfortunately there is no lift.

Frequently asked questions

What's Included?

Sewing Tutor portfolio pages are included for you to mount your skills samples on and to take notes on. All equipment and tools are here for you to use, including 3 sewing machines or you can bring your own. We provide you with the fabric and haberdashery you need for the skill samples you can make.

What should I/we bring?

Once we’ve planned your workshop/s with you, we can let you know details of anything you need to bring. It’s optional, but we also suggest bringing your own sewing machine & equipment to learn on if you can and a folder for your skill-samples & Sewing Tutor portfolio pages.

What is the exact address?

We are based on Marine Parade in Kirn, Dunoon, PA23 8HH. After registration, we will email you the exact address and any other information you may need. Please note we are on the second floor and there is no lift.

Do you have other courses I can do after this?

Yes! And we'd love you to join another of our workshops! Whether you’re a seasoned sewer or just starting out, we have loads of great skills and project based workshops happening now and coming up. So keep an eye on our website, janehdee.com/sewing-tutor, & the Eventbrite listings.

What if I can't make one of those dates?

We may be able to amend 1-2-1 & private Group bookings with 2 weeks notice. But we recommend you please check dates before booking. OR you could buy a Voucher to use at a time which suit you. For unforeseen circumstances, we can plan homework with you.

Can I get a refund?

As we buy stock well ahead of each course, unfortunately we cannot give refunds from 14 days before the start date. But please be in touch because if we have others waiting, a refund may be possible. If it's because you cannot make a workshop, we can help you plan homework instead!

Organized by

Sewing Tutor Workshops offer hands-on skills and project based learning. The Skills-based workshops offer courses which focus on making samples of a wide range of skills, which you mount on your Sewing Tutor pages, and can refer back to, to help you in further projects (example Code L1S1). In the Project-based workshops students make skills-samples specific to the item they will be making, for example a skirt (example code L2P5). As with the skill-based learning, students mount these skill-samples in their Sewing Tutor pages, which becomes their own Sewing Tutor how-to reference guide.
