The +1 healthy relationships program explores young male’s intimate relationships and is aimed at those who are using abusive behaviours or are considered to be at risk of doing so.
The course looks at the following topics:
· Exploring healthy and unhealthy relationships
· Looking at how expectations and behaviours can impact the relationship
· Understanding trust and respect
· Positive masculinity
· Managing emotions
· Communication skills such as active listening, social media, non verbal communication and empathy
· Reflections on past, present and future self
The primary aim of +1 is to increase young men’s awareness of healthy relationships and supporting to improve their intimate relationships. It will look at some of the things that make a healthy relationship and some of the things that can get in the way; as well as influencers such as Andrew Tate and the impact this has on developing brains and relationships. This course is aimed at young males aged 13 and upwards.
This can also be run as a 1:1 intervention technique!
