As part of the Festival of Architecture 2017 www.festivalofarchitecture.scot; Scottish Ecological Design Association (SEDA) invites you to the launch of its new book – 100 Sustainable Scottish Buildings.

100 Sustainable Scottish Buildings showcases the diversity of built projects from one small country where a sustainable design approach has been adopted in response to social, economic and environmental issues.

The book includes five essays and demystifies the common belief that a sustainable approach can only be delivered by narrowing aesthetic and construction options. Sustainability is an ethical responsibility and an opportunity.

Alongside refreshments, the Book Launch will showcase particular featured projects with their designers, and their approach to sustainability, and discuss the criteria and scope of strategies considered in choosing the 100 projects. It will be a stimulating evening of discussion on what can and has been achieved, from the most recent projects to inspirational buildings and schemes from previous eras, to take inspiration and learn lessons from. Join us and become the first to own a copy of an important new survey of Scottish sustainable design, which will be available to buy on the night.

The book is free for SEDA members, alongside a host of other member benefits. To join SEDA – visit www.seda.uk.net
