The life and work of Mikis Theodorakis in an original music-theatrical tribute.
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Mikis Theodorakis, two contemporary artists – singer Krinthi Zira and actress–radio producer Marietta Spiliopoulou – in collaboration with the Municipal and Regional Theatre of Corfu (DI.PE.THE.) and with the participation of the Municipal Choir “San Giacomo”, join their art to present a unique music-theatrical tribute.
A live podcast on stage, this performance will take the audience on a journey through the lesser-known aspects of the life and work of the iconic composer. An experience unlike any other: a narration that becomes music, and music that comes alive through words.
Stories that shed light on the backstage of creation, a living tribute to a creator who left an indelible mark on history and our collective soul.
A composer who united popular tradition with poetry and high art.
The simplicity of the musical accompaniment of the beloved songs is not a limitation, but an aesthetic and artistic choice.
