About this event

How are you... really?

Join Mike and Phil at a Talk for Health Chair and Share (online via Zoom) where we create a safe and confidential space for you to remove the social mask and share your feelings. All feelings welcome!

Anyone (18+) who has already graduated from our full programme is welcome to sign up for a Talk for Health Chair and Share. Haven’t yet been to a Taster? Click here instead to sign up for one of our upcoming Tasters.

Talk for Health Chair and Shares are open to Talk for Health Graduates who have either completed the Full Programme or attended at least 6 Cafés for 6 months. They provide a safe confidential space where you can come as you feel - you are perfect just the way you are.

Chair and Shares are our monthly peer-support groups for Graduates. Our Chair & Shares are structured time: everyone will have equal amount of time to share and respond, using the Talk for Health feedback techniques that you have already learned and practiced well. Sign up is easy, and the groups run on the same day of the week each month (e.g. the 3rd Friday, or 2nd Monday).

If you have any questions, or are unable to sign-up using Eventbrite, please call or text 'call me' on 02034 093201 or email info@talkforhealth.co.uk.

Please note that if at any point either before or during the session facilitators feel that by taking part there is a risk of detriment to your wellbeing then you will not be allowed to continue with the session. Facilitators will support with suggestions for alternative referrals.

We apologise for the inconvenience, but for legal reasons under eighteens, babies, and animals will not be permitted to attend.

The cut-off time for signing up to this Café (on the 4th Monday of each month) is 17:45, 15 minutes before our T4H Café starts. The joining instructions and Zoom link will automatically be emailed to all registered attendees 48 hours prior, 2 hours prior, and 10 minutes before we begin.

Organised by

Talk for Health is a social enterprise that demystifies effective therapeutic talk, making it accessible to all. We make group peer to peer counselling something we can all do - whether for our own wellbeing, to help others, or both.

We are now operating programmes, tasters, groups and other events both online and in person, so you can choose what suits you best. Participants can join online events using their mobiles, laptops or tablets.  Those without an internet connection or smartphone can dial in using regular mobile phones or landlines.

How does it work?

We provide initial training programmes that teach group peer-to-peer counselling skills and give you plenty of space to reflect on your own life.  After training, Talk for Health Graduates gain access to free, monthly, ongoing groups for wellbeing, as well as occasional advanced learning groups and further training.

Further training is provided for Graduates to become trainers of the initial training programmes and/or facilitators of on-going groups.

All these free activities are made possible by funding from the Islington Clinical Commissioning Group as well as other grant-funding bodies. Some programmes are for Islington and Camden residents only, due to ICCG funding, and others are available only to those in Northeast London. Other events are open to all. Please contact us if you're not sure.

We also run special events that are open to everyone and hope to see you at one of our programmes or events soon.

If you would like further information then please email info@talkforhealth.co.uk or call/text 020 3409 3201.

Wish to support us? If you are able, please donate to save our service! Talk for Health needs help as we contend with a funding cliff-edge when people need us the most in the winter months. Please consider donating when signing up to an event on Eventbrite, or make a donation to our Crowdfunder campaign here. All donations of all sizes are immensely appreciated. Thank you so much!
