Description

The theme of the 10th annual RCOT Northern & Yorkshire Student Occupational Therapy Conference hosted by Teesside University is 'Global to Local'. This exciting and innovative theme will be considering the practice of occupational therapy and understanding occupation in relation to global, local and sustainability issues.

This conference is a fantastic opportunity for all student occupational therapists within the region to network, share knowledge and expand their passion for the occupational therapy profession. We are celebrating our 10th year of running the Northern and Yorkshire region student conference, so come and join us to share this exciting event.

We have the honour of welcoming Samantha Shann from the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT) who will deliver an exciting session about The World Mental Health Project.

Dr Claire Hart will be facilitating an innovative session about Refugees, asylum seekers and the concept of Altruism.

There will also be a range of exciting workshops and interactive sessions including but not limited to the following interesting and fundemental issues relating to the local and global aspects of our profession:

Environment, Culture and Community issues

Sustainability

Minority veterans and service personnel


Refreshments and lunch will be provided.
