About this event
Join us and relieve the fear and pressure of performing - just have fun, de-stress and relax through your genuine expression.
What about joining our meetup held at beautiful Vysehrad park where you can enjoy sketching, drawing, painting, shooting photos, perhaps chatting with people or sharing the joy of creating, your experience and inspiration? Some or all of that in an atmosphere free of judgement and comparison. Please bring a blanket or a mat for better comfort :)
It doesn't matter if you draw occasionally, touched a pencil only 20 years ago or you are a professional, everyone is invited! If this event is not for you, but you know someone who’d benefit from it, we’d be grateful if you passed the invitation on. Sharing is caring!
Feel free to read our personal stories below to get a sense of where our idea comes from and the FAQ for further clarification. We’re keen to meet you this Sunday

Who creates Free Art Collective Prague?
Hi! It’s Julia and Ewa here, we have known each other for a few years now and always knew we wanted to do something nice together. But we’ve only recently realized that we share some unpleasant experiences connected to creating and art in general and, more importantly, a fresh thought (for us ;)) that creating should be more about fun than anything else, so we’re up to share this idea with the world :) Please see below our personal stories.
Julia: My name is Julia and I am a counselor for personal development and coach.
My first attempt at free artistic expression was in primary school, when I created a colorful and unusual (cubist-like) painting of a nomad. My then teacher mocked my work and ever since, my sister, who had an indisputably good way of painting, prepared my art class homework. During the student years I accidentally met an artist and teacher from Waldorf school, who taught me the technique of loose drawing based on patterns created by creased paper. This gave me a lot of freedom and flow, happiness and connection with myself. After some years, an accident occurred in my family, subsequently I could not draw for a long time, unless I had some alcohol to accompany me in the process. Now things are slowly getting better, as I come back to free flow drawing and painting.
From a coaching & positive psychology perspective, I understand the importance of redeeming the feeling of flow which allows us to flourish as human beings - the joy of creation without hope of fame or financial gain - being involved in an activity with some degree of difficulty, being in focus, and having a sensation of great well-being, serenity, followed up by a feeling of self-fulfillment. You lose the notion of time, of bodily needs (hunger) or lingering feelings (concern from work, etc.), and if you are lucky, you can also experience a half ecstatic state.
