Event description
Cultural Lead Teachers are invited to the Museum of London for an 11 by 11 and Culture Bank introductory session

About this Event

11 by 11 is a commitment to make available 11 outstanding cultural experiences by Year 11 for all children and young people attending Islington schools. Cultural Lead Teachers are invited to the Museum of London for an introductory session to explore the cultural experiences, CPD and support on offer to schools for the new academic year.

We are asking all Islington schools to nominate a Cultural Lead teacher to have oversight of the 11 by 11 initiative and the cultural activities taking place in their school. We will be offering Cultural Lead teachers ongoing training, support and opportunities designed to maximise the impact of 11 by 11 in their school.

At this twilight, we will:

• Introduce you to 11 by 11 and your role as Cultural Lead

• Present the format for Cultural Lead twilights in the new academic year and tell you what you can expect from these

• Discuss the CPD, resources and opportunities on offer to Islington schools with Schools Improvement, Islington’s Cultural Enrichment Team and Cubitt Artists. This will be the opportunity for you as Cultural Lead teachers to help shape the offer, discussing current gaps in provision and what you'd like to see from Culture Bank in new academic year.

• Take part in an immersive activity in the Museum of London's galleries

• Hear from you about what cultural enrichment looks like in your school and explore how 11 by 11 can support what you are already doing
