Come join us at the Highlander's Museum, Fort George, for a special event honoring the brave soldiers of the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders on the 110th anniversay of the WW1 Battle of Loos.

Join WW1 expert Mike Taylor for a talk on the bapstim of fire for the New Army Battalions of the Camerons, gain a better understanding of thier experiences and learn about the German artillery gun they captured which is today held by the Clan Cameron Musuem in Lochaber.

Frequently asked questions

How to access the Fort?

To access the event, you will need to drive past the visitor car park at Fort George and carry on down the road to the military entrance. Fort George is an active military base and security is high. Once you have reached the military gate, your ticket will be checked.

Where do we park?

Once you have accessed the Fort, you will be directed by stewards to the best parking. If you or any of your passengers have mobility issues, please make this known to the stewards, who will direct you where to drop off closer to the event location to save unnecessary walking.

How long is the talk?

The talk will last approximately one hour with time for a question and answer period at the end of the talk.
