More than 40 of businesses have been the victims of online crime or fraud in the past 12 months according to the FSB's latest report.
The most common form of fraud experienced by our members came from customer and credit card fraud while the biggest security problems online were through virus infections and hacking.
The FSB report clearly shows that cyber crime is a real and growing threat not only to our local small businesses, but tot he wider economy as a whole.
In a bid to help local small businesses the FSB has organised two seminars, one in Norwich on 5th July and the other in Ipswich on 7th July, and produced a TOP Ten Tips to Avoid Cyber Crime which includes reminders to businesses to have a 'resilient' password policy and to regularly train staff on good security procedures.
The Guest Speaker at both seminars will be Paul Maskall, Cyber and Serious Crime Directorate, Norfolk and Suffolk Constabularies.
Free parking is available at the venue.
We hope that you will be able to join us and look forward to meeting you.
