12 Days of MP Q&As
We're thrilled to invite you to join our 10th event of the series with MPs Dehenna Davison & Andrew Griffith! Raffle tickets available!
Dehenna became the MP for Bishop Auckland at the 2019 general election. She is the first Conservative to represent the constituency since its creation in 1885! The seat had previously been represented by a Labour Party MP since 1935.
Andrew has been the MP for Arundel and South Downs since the 2019 general election.
Dehenna made her maiden speech on 16th January 2020.
Davison supports scrapping the planned high-speed railway project HS2, and re-investing the money into local transport schemes. She has been a member of the Home Affairs Select Committee since March 2020.
She is also a member of the European Research Group, on the steering committee of the China Research Group, on the board of the Blue Collar Conservatives, and a member of the parliamentary council of the centre-right think tank The Northern Policy Foundation.
During his campaign, Andrew said:
“I pledge to be a strong local voice for residents. More than ever before, Westminster needs people with achievements outside of politics and, with my background in business, I hope to bring some common sense and the ability to get things done.”
“Locally, I will fight to protect our countryside from unsustainable overdevelopment, for better bus and train services, the A27 Arundel Bypass, for more police in our towns and villages and for our high street, small businesses and Sussex farmers.”
